A Note from Dr. Erin Prince

Did you know that this year marks the third year of our current, three-year strategic plan? We're seeing the impact of that work, and we're proud of the progress we've made. Now it's time to start looking ahead. One of focus this year will be writing the 2026-2029 strategic plan. You'll be hearing more about that in the coming months, along with ways you can be involved. Stay tuned!

Standard Response Protocol

Our new Standard Response Protocol (SRP) webpage was designed to help you easily understand how we respond to school incidents, emergencies, and natural disasters. It outlines the five SRP actions—Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter—and gives clear guidance on how we handle each one. We've also added information on how we communicate during events, our reunification process, and ways you can help.

Hispanic Heritage Month 2025

Central Kitsap Schools proudly joins the national celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15). This year’s theme, selected by the National Council of Hispanic Employment Program Managers (NCHEPM), is “Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future.” Throughout the month, our schools will highlight the rich cultures, traditions, and achievements of Hispanic/Latin(o/a/x) individuals—past and present—who help shape our communities and our nation.

Know the Laws about School Bus Safety

Results indicate that drivers are illegally passing a school bus in Washington state more than 200,000 times per year. State law defines the different scenarios for when motorists must stop for school buses. In short: when in doubt, stop!
