About Brownsville

Brownsville Elementary is a place of tradition, innovation, excellence and fun.

We are district leaders in the use of technology and broader STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) areas. We are  a STEM School of Choice for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. We’re flipping the use of technology towards an educational tool, rather than pure entertainment. Our STEM focus helps us meet our school mission to reach all students through active engagement and a curriculum aligned to meet individual needs.

Our technology infrastructure is robust. Every student in grades two to five has access to a Chromebook laptop. In kindergarten through second grade, students can access interactive tablets. The teachers in these grades also use interactive whiteboards. Each of these devices work within Google’s tools for education.

Brownsville is more than STEM. We have over 10 after-school clubs, the largest PTSA in the district and high expectations in all we do. We believe that things should be handled at the lowest level.  If you have a concern, please address it first with your child’s teacher. If concerns persist, our principal will work with the teacher and you to ensure we meet your child’s needs.  We look forward to working with you and your children.
